Diwali or some says Dipawali is the most awaited Hindus festival in India. Diwaali 2013 will be celebrated on November 6th 2013 and Kaali Puja will be celebrated on 5th Nov 2013. Diwali is celebrated because Hindu God Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years along with his brother Laxman and wife Sita. Lord Rama stayed 14 years in forest with his brother and wife and help poor people and Hindu saints. During this time, he also killed Lanka king and monster Raavana with the help of God Hanumana who is also known as Brahamputra Hanuman.
Before Diwali, all Indians use to clean their house and some even buy new furniture just before one day of Diwali. The pre-evening of Deepawali night is called Dhanteras. On Diwali day, people use to light their house and make veg foodd and snacks. This particular day on Diwali, Hindus don't eat or cook non-vegeterain food. Females use to make Rangli in the house and try to make the house more colorful.
Children and young age people use to fire crackers whole day with their friends, relatives and closed ones. Non resident Indians ( NRI ) also celebrate Diwali in countries like US, UK, Australia, Fiji and many other countries.
